Concentrix leads among IT-business process outsourcing (IT-BPO) firms in the country in terms of employee count, followed by Accenture, Teleperformance, Alorica, and the Sitel Group, data from a property management and consultancy firm showed.
In a report, Colliers’ data showed that the top five IT-BPOs have combined full-time employee (FTE) count of 310,000 with Concentrix contributing the biggest with 90,000 FTEs.
Colliers noted that Concentrix continued to expand and grow despite the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Colliers quoted a report by Statista showing that Concentrix generated a revenue of $5.587 billion in 2021, of which $1.34 billion came from its Philippine operations. For 2022, Concentrix expects a tightened revenue rate of between $6.365 billion and $6.415 billion.
The second biggest BPO employer Accenture employs 72,000 highly skilled professionals. The Dublin-based IT services and consulting company reported an annual revenue of $50.533 billion in fiscal year 2021 and $16.6 billion for the third quarter of fiscal year 2022, which ended on May 31, 2022.
Teleperformance, provider of integrated digital business service and experience management, employs approximately 56,266 professionals in the country. In 2021, Teleperformance reported consolidated revenue of $8.4 billion.
Alorica, which started operations in the Philippines in 2004 as CX management and BPO services solutions provider, employs 55,000 FTEs. According to online jobs platform, Alorica’s peak revenue was $2.4 billion in 2021.
One of the largest global providers of CX products and solutions, Sitel Group ranked fifth among the largest BPO companies in the Philippines providing 37,000 full time jobs. Sitel Group has a reported global revenue of over $4 billion in 2021.
In terms of total office space occupied, Colliers said that Concentrix also led the list, which is unsurprising given its continuous growth of FTEs year-on-year.
Completing the top five are Accenture, Teleperformance, Alorica, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
As of the first half of this year, Colliers reported that Concentrix occupies 340,132 square meters of office space in its offices in various parts in the country. Accenture has total office footprint of 196,290 sqm while Teleperformance has total office space occupied of 164,650 sqm.
Not far behind is Alorica with 162,641 sqm office footprint, and JP Morgan with 102,650 sqm office space.
